Brittany Kubicek is a Navy Veteran, engineer, and member of the Rhode Island Chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America. Her time in the Navy showed her firsthand how our government always has money to oppress fellow workers around the world, but never enough money to give us a decent life at home. She joined the socialist movement in Rhode Island to change that.
Brittany is the first candidate that RI DSA has endorsed since democratically passing the resolution “Electoral Strategy: Toward Political Independence and a Mass Socialist Party” in 2023. RI DSA is committed to building a party for the working class independent of the two party system and the Brittany Kubicek for RI campaign is evidence that Rhode Island is with us. Since launching the campaign, we’ve heard an outpouring of support from workers across Rhode Island who are yearning for a positive vision for the future and alternative to the corporate parties.
Brittany joined RI DSA in 2024 and led the Electoral Committee as Chair for over a year before being endorsed to run as the chapter’s first Independent candidate to represent working class Rhode Islanders.
