Electoral Platform
Building a Rhode Island That Works for All of Us
We believe Rhode Island can be a place where everyone has a home, can see a doctor when they need one, and where our public money goes toward better schools, safer bridges, and stronger communities — not endless war.
Our platform is simple, bold, and rooted in the needs of working people.
🏠 Housing for All
Housing is a human right — not an investment vehicle.
Rhode Island is in the middle of a housing crisis:
Rents have skyrocketed faster than wages, forcing families out of their neighborhoods.
Evictions are rising, even as thousands of homes sit empty.
Developers and landlords keep reaping record profits while ordinary people are squeezed.
We fight for:
Rent stabilization & tenant protections to keep people in their homes.
Massive public investment in truly affordable, mixed-income housing — built and owned by the public, not private developers.
Good jobs for housing construction through union labor, green building standards, and community oversight.
Vacancy taxes and anti-speculation measures to prevent housing hoarding.
📢 Our vision: no Rhode Islander should be unhoused, rent-burdened, or forced to leave the state to find shelter.
🏥 Healthcare for All
No one should go broke or die because they got sick.
Rhode Islanders still face:
Medical bankruptcies despite having insurance.
Long waits and high costs for basic care.
Hospitals closing maternity wards and cutting staff to maximize profit.
We fight for:
A single-payer, universal healthcare system for Rhode Island — free at the point of use.
Public investment in community health centers, mental health care, and addiction treatment.
Safe staffing ratios and fair wages for healthcare workers to stop burnout and improve patient care.
Abortion access & reproductive healthcare protected and expanded for all who need it.
📢 Our vision: healthcare is a public good, not a business. Everyone gets the care they need, when they need it.
🌉 Bridges, Not Bombs
We should be rebuilding our communities, not funding endless wars.
Rhode Island’s infrastructure is crumbling:
Our bridges rank among the worst in the nation.
Schools have leaky roofs and unsafe classrooms.
Public transit is underfunded, leaving working people stranded.
Meanwhile, billions of our tax dollars go to:
Weapons manufacturers.
Endless overseas wars and occupations.
Military contracts that do little for Rhode Islanders’ daily lives.
We fight for:
Redirecting military spending toward local infrastructure, education, healthcare, and climate resilience.
Modernizing public transit and making RIPTA free for all riders.
Fixing every unsafe bridge and creating thousands of union jobs in the process.
Investing in green infrastructure to prepare Rhode Island for the climate crisis.
📢 Our vision: a Rhode Island where public money builds homes, schools, and bridges — not bombs.
